Islam controlled (conquered and ruled 711-1492) much of Spain and much of modern Spain’s culture and history is rooted in Islamic culture.
They hated the Muslims and then hated the Jews so nothing new here folks. Islam is retaking Spain all over again but by populating the country with Muslims and then making demands on the Christian (soon to be) minority.
The important thing is that the very tiny Jewish State defeated them on the court. Israel just got a modest payback for the Inquisition and expulsion of Jews from Spain.
