In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

Ophelian (o-FEE-lee-uhn) adjective
Displaying madness, suicidal tendencies, and similar characteristics.

Example sentence:
"She had an Ophelian streak of potential craziness that he had, since day one, deemed wiser to steer clear of."
--Jean-Christophe Valtat; Aurorarama; Melville House; 2010.

Etymology:
After Ophelia, a character in Shakespeare's Hamlet, who is driven to insanity and kills herself. Earliest documented use: 1903.

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

“Cis” and “trans” are chemical terms for which side of a hydrocarbon chain atoms in an isomer are located on.

If they are on the same side, they are “cis.” If on the opposite side, they are “trans.”

Which means that the appropriation for gender confusion (oops, I mean, “identity”) is exactly backwards.

“Trans” are those with same-sex identity, and “cis” would be those attracted to the opposite sex.

A+ for you! My sister and spouse were watching the Survivor finale, texting back and forth, so I missed hockey last night.

I saw that article on gender-what a crock. I’m female, I was born that way, I won’t be anything else no matter what deranged idiot I annoy...

I didn’t know you had been ill, but I’m glad you are better-

Nancy Pelosi is so unhinged,
Her weird behavior growing-
And now ever more frequently
Her Ophelian side is showing

First, she wants to boycott
Gowdy’s committee-she claims
The thing is all a witch hunt
Then suddenly changes games

And makes her five choices-
Will she set them up like pins?
If the loons rave senselessly
That’s when the fun begins...

I read that the clintonistas put her up to it, so they would have someone to defend hillary's audacious behavior. A+ for you.
I've been under the weather for the past few days but making progress and less achy today.
