“Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner” aspect of Christianity,

I have always had trouble with that statement. Sounds good until you think about it.

1) if you love someone you will tell the truth, not coddle them. And they will hate you when you tell them the truth. If you want to define love as telling the hard truth then I agree, but that is not what most people are thinking when they say that..................

2) In the case of sodomites, they ARE the sin. They identify themselves as the sin, they are proud of it. They laugh at you when you say that. You hate the sin, you hate them, even they understand that.

The most hateful thing you can do when someone is running toward a cliff is to “approve” of their choice of direction.
