From what I have seen of porn, it has gotten more explicit over the years. And perhaps this is part of it.

For example, when I was very young, Playboy did not show full frontal nudity. The poses were strategically set up to conceal certain areas. Some things were left to the imagination. One could imagine having her as your playmate and all that, but, it wasn’t explicitly demonstrated.

Today’s men’s magazines such as Playboy, Penthouse, and Hustler, show complete sexual acts, including intercourse. Much less left to the imagination.

And from what I hear, aspects of violence and control over women are part of much pornography today. And all of this is readily available over the internet. You don’t even have to go downtown to a porn theater or peep show anymore to see these things.

Yes, it's the internet. Where you can find anything.

Hustler changed that. As I heard a comic say once about Hustler ‘not even a Gynecologist needs to know that much about female anatomy.

‘You don’t even have to go downtown to a porn theater or peep show anymore to see these things.’

Of course you lose that quality sense of community that the peep show has going for it.

Playboy did not show full frontal nudity.

As for Playboy, I believe that changed in January 1972.

I hate to tell you this but your sentimental idea of porn is baseless....it still is objectification of women as prey.....

once men turn away from this....and I mean the grown up men who call themselves fathers, husbands, church goers.....once those guys stop acting like predators and teach their sons the same, this country WILL turn around, back to God, back to civilized society instead of this debased caustic hateful entity we have now...

start treating females with respect, and females will even turn around and become decent again....
