Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has been hit with fresh accusations of stealing. The current holder of the Heisman Trophy, Winston, 20, is rapidly earning a reputation for his off-the-field bad boy antics as well as his sporting prowess. Surveillance video footage emerged last week showing Winston shoplifting $30-worth of crab legs from a Tallahassee supermarket and now he has been accused of stealing soda.

Where I’m from, if the fast food place has the customers dispense sodas themselves, it is taken as a given that refills are free, unless there is some sign stating otherwise posted.

That’s the rules I operate under, if there is no sign posted saying not to do so.

Who wants to be the cop that caused the local team to lose The Big Game?

This is, BTW, not limited to college. Very common for high school players, too, particularly in small towns.

Very sad. We should not have a group that is above the common enforcement of the law.

He’ll make plenty of money but I’d wager in 10 years it will all be gone. I have a feeling he won’t make it in the NFL for any length of time.

Another Michael Vick just waiting to happen. Of course, Vick got a second chance after he did his time (no, I don't want to open that can of worms about whether or not he deserves that), but it's the same type of mentality on display here. Tons of talent combined with tons of entitlement and very little parental control is a bad combination.

You can take the hoody off of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out of the hood, apparently. How foolish.

Colleges let these athletes live in a total bubble. They can get away with nearly everything. Didn’t the Sandusky episode prove once and for all just how corrupt college sports is?

He didn’t buy any soda so no refills. However, this incident was a year ago, July 2013. BK decided not to prosecute. I don’t know why it is being made public now.
