Robbins may be an unapologetic lefty but he's still a talented actor. Though the one who really stood out in this film for me was Clancy Brown as the sadistic Captain Hadley. Brown was robbed at the Oscars. He should've won Best Supporting Actor hands down.
Making the warden some Bible-thumping hypocrite seemed gratuitous.
I know that Stephen King hates organized religion, but making the "Christians" villains in his stories is getting tiresome.
The Mist and Carrie also come to mind.
