The brothers were friends with a boy shot in the head at 63rd and Mozart streets a little more than a month ago, and the older brother said he stopped venturing so far from home after that.

A friend next to him added, "You’re a strong ass n----, I’d be flipping the f--- out.”

Blacks calling each other “Nigger” is so far from King’s “I have a dream” speech. On one hand I really don’t care how people talk to each other if it is on their own terms. But on the other hand I imagine that what is pretty-much a derogatory term being used in friendly conversation does get ingrained in one’s image of themselves. (I’m just guessing).
Whether their young friend was an innocent bystander or a young gangster, I really do feel for these young kids that are in such poor situations (no dads, gangs, drugs, etc.).

Please change the name of Mozart street. The town is not worthy.
I abhore the culture of death, crime, drugs and impoverishment that has a certain segment of our population in it’s grip. What a blight on our nation.
These fine upstanding young men should be on the school debating team.
