I have picked cotton side by side with black people, I have worked for black people, I have employed black people, I have dined with black people at their house and mine, I have gone on trips with black people. I have gone to church with black people. I have served in the Navy with black people. I have been treated by black doctors and nurses. I have been helped by kind hearted black people who didn’t know me from Adam and I have returned the favor. I can say one thing for certain, black people are far more likely to bring up the subject of race than almost any white person I know.

I cannot say I have ever picked cotton side by side with black people. I cannot even say that I’ve ever picked cotton.
I work with a lot of wonderful black people and I often dine with them. I go to a church that has made up of about 30-40% wonderful black people. I have great respect for so many of these good family people.

They certainly don’t help matters any. Sharpton has always been a fraud since I first heard of him but I actually had some degree of respect for Jackson long ago before I realized that he was only interested in helping himself.
