looks like the entire movie is at link. May have been shot as a one hour TV pilot.

My brother, sister and brother in law were extras running around in this movie. I got a William Shatner autograph out of it. LOL!

I saw that movie years ago. A very typical B movie of the era.
Not bad but not really good either.

The ending is missing. Unless the ending is supposed to be Shat's beautiful girlfriend getting him a beer and opening it for him. That works for me.

$500k budget, $17 million gross, and a 5.9 rating on IMDB. Not bad. I wonder if Shatner got a percentage.

I remember watching this movie back in the day. Forgot whether in the theater or on TV, but it creeped me out at the time (yes, I have at least a mild case of arachnophobia).
Apparently real live tarantulas were used in the film, thousands of them, and they had to re-shoot some scenes because actors kept getting freaked out by all the spiders around them.
Would have been a great movie for the MST3K crew to riff on!

Thanks for the link, headstamp 2!!
Been a long time since I saw this movie!!
I forgot the great Woody Strode is in this, and Marcy Lafferty was The Shat’s wife at the time.

This was filmed in Camp Verde, Arizona. The buildings were all covered with painted-on tarantulas and as kids we even had some plastic ones that were left over from the filming. Very good for scaring people with!

The one on the back leg...I have seen his work before. Still better than Shatner.

I didn’t make it through the song at the opening credits... I will try later... perhaps this is my next “Killdozer” type afternoon.
