Sorry, no deal. Your “cool points” are nearly expended whenever you wear dive gear of any type, but this contraption drops your coolness down into the “Richard Nixon twerking with Jimmy Carter” levels.
That’s just not something I’m prepared to accept.

I had one over 50 years ago.
Improvements have been made in the design, but the concept is the same.
Some of us are just lame in the water. I seem to have no reflexes designed to prolong life in an aquatic environment, but I like swimming around with colorful fish on rare occasions.
This device was probably invented by someone like me.
A good blast of air will clear just fine. Valves will jam at the worst time. I like the “big bore” tubes for easy breathing, though they are harder for small lungs to clear.
While scuba diving down in the keys ive seen guys free diving down at 60 feet. They did have a snorkel though.
I did some 20+ foot free-dives at St. Johns. Nowhere near as tough as 60 feet, but the kids swimming around me thought it was pretty badass, so there’s that.
I need weights to get down even 20 feet.
