Indeed who does walk around with a butcher knife? I prefer to carry a gun.

Not allowed to fire a gun in Los Angeles County. The gun would have done her no good.

When walking in my non-leash law neighborhood, I carry a nice thick oak walking stick.

Gun laws in CA are ridiculous even if you have CC gun must be in the
trunk of your car ect.,ect., ect., next to impossible to get a CC in CA.

Whats wrong with walking around with a knife? In this case it seemed to work quite well. And I personally think a knife would work better on an attacking dog than a gun. It would be easy to miss a small, fast dog with a gun.
