There is no reason for a baby born with disease or disability to suffer extreme pain --- not with modern pain meds available.

I have known babies born with multiple disabilities who lived but a short time --- one 8 days, one just over 2 1/2 years --- but they were able to smile and enjoy, to appreciate mama's milk, to like being rocked, to like the sun on their skin or a little ball that jingled when it rolled. The 2 year old was delighted with bananas. They can, according to their mysterious capacity, love and be loved. And they elicit love from all the care-givers, who then constitute a community of love around that little nucleus, the child.

It is an insult to God, the Lord and Giver of Life, when He says "Baby, live" and you say "No."

Not even close to the truth. Do a little digging into Tay-Saks and Leukodystrophy's, just to name a couple diseases that are always deadly and incredibly painful.

No, I'm just pointing out that because this is an incredibly complicated issue it's not black and white. There are a small % of times where abortion is understandable. The left manipulated the public with lies and expanded it's availability. The right fought along a rigid line and we lost badly.
