In my family you did not waste food needlessly.

That is exactly what these eating contests are doing. Beside that they are a little bit disgusting.

It is disgusting because it mocks the human body and the human need for nourishment. It invites us to hate ourselves.

These “contests” are disgusting. The eating of food is to sustain us, comfort us. When you make a contest out of who can stuff the most food in their stomachs, it’s shameful. Think of all the people in this country who would love to sit down to a meal of steak in their home..just one meal, and who would be so grateful for the luxury of doing so, but cannot afford it. It’s a display of gluttony and it’s nauseating.

Food and circuses..that’s what the public likes. I’ll pass.
(To that jerk on Food Network who stuffs his face with food in contest after contest, you’re not funny or entertaining. Better find a new line of work b/4 you drop dead, which may be sooner than later..have you considered joining the circus in the same capacity?)
