Most malls I have ever been in offer a family restroom - I guess it would be harder to offer in an older building unless they took space from both mens/womens restrooms to make a single family room - but I would think if it was important enough to the lezzie mayor they could just designate all restrooms as “family” and make them into singles or two doubles each. But that wouldn’t slap the face of anyone opposing the other crap she has loaded into this legislation which basically will keep the courts busy trying bogus cases anytime a queer wants to sue someone for not getting a job, not getting an apartment or house, or not getting a government contract.

My daughter has an American Indian doll. I wonder if they stopped making that one, too.

Glenlivet was my 1st husband’s favorite-but I’ve never developed a taste for Scotland’s proudest export...

You’d think Obama’s minions
Must be hung over or worse-
Affected with veisalgia
And it shows in every verse...

I found out from the news-
Our alliances are stronger-
I’m mad as hell-our troops
Won’t stay there any longer-

When I was a curious child
Paper tiger was the word
Enemies used for ridicule-
Now Putin flips us the bird...

Possibly - because she was new several years back - they all cycle even though each doll looks alike - just hair and clothing/assessories change.

my girls have a bunch of these dolls. xsteen’s first American girl doll was Addie, the African American one, from slave times. we bought it at the st james silent auction when she was in K. Pleasant Company was the original maker and marketer of the dolls. Yes, they were expensive, but the attraction was the historical story they told along with the period appropriate accessories etc. Mattel bought them out and went more mass marketing with DOLLS THAT LOOK LIKE ME type crap. That was never the point of them. They had Kristin, Molly, Kaya, Addie, Kit and Josefina, and a complete set of the books for each. I was a total sucker for that stuff bc I would have LOVED it when I was a kid. They lost their vision I think and started making too many of them and without any real HISTORY behind them. I think they eventually had some hippy doll from the 60s. That was just stupid!

I did not know that Mattel had purchased them. You are right though - I bought a bunch of the accessories too - and even bought a pattern and made some of the period dresses.

The dolls I had as a kid were not the collectible variety-they were the ones that were affordable, you could get lots of outfits and accessories for, like today’s Barbie-and that made them fun to make up scenarios involving occupations, hobbies, etc.

I’m sure that discontinuing a doll makes it more expensive, but I don’t see an ordinary parent, strapped for cash in a bad economy buying those expensive dolls for a little girl...

I did have some toys that were the display kind, but those were little dinosaur skeleton kits that I put together-they came with glue, stands, plants, trees and scenery to make little vignettes-they were cool.

LOL. When at the State University in Buffalo in the mid-70’s, I played intramural hockey with some buds from the ‘City environs who were hugh “Rayn-giz” fans — this was just after the Sabres joined the League & quickly gained prominence in the S/C Playoffs. There was no love lost in common vs. the Flyers at the time ;)

For a change of pace & fresh blood [sic] RE the Cup, perhaps N.Y. or Montreal can take it this year; we’ll see if the Blueshirts can close it out tomorrow night...

Thank you!

I tried drinking it just about every way, but there is just something about the taste that doesn’t appeal-I have the same reaction to martinis and other gin drinks...

I will turn down few drinks, but like you Scotch and gin don’t do it for me.

Does anyone make inexpensive dolls any more? The inexpensive ones were plentiful when I-and probably you-were kids.

Didn’t think of that, but it has been a long time since I shopped for dolls or other toys-and when the cub was doll age, Barbie and her clones the best game in town...

I suppose she was in the midst of a veisalgia after too much caviar and champagne, so she just forgot to place her hand on her heart.
