The groundwork has been carefully laid by the left. The only way Americans will awaken from their current stupor is for the country to come crashing down, around them.
It will happen.
He has been saying that if Congress doesn’t act, he will. What he means is if Congress doesn’t act the way he wants them to, he will rule anyway.
I’ve been saying this very thing since before the Obama catastrophe. Look at the post 9-11 patriotic groundswell the last real wake-up call, it was a response to painful stimulus. We in this society are so removed from this kind of discomfort that the normalcy bias does not allow the majority to contemplate where we are headed.
The only thing that will create a sea change in the majority attitude is real abject pain. The last thing I want is for this country to go though the kind of pain that’s coming but short of that there will be no change.
I just hope we get it over with soon before another generation is indoctrinated to Marxism and we still remember conservatism, capitalism and constitutionalism.
