Anyway, neither of the two Herods was Jewish, nor Pilate.

The Herods were practicing Jews. Their family had converted in the 2nd century BC, when the Hasmoneans forced the Idumeans to convert.

Many if not most of the Jews did not accept them as Jews, to be sure, but that was pretty much a distortion of Jewish doctrine, which had generally accepted converts as Jews.

Such as: the vast mixed crowd at the Exodus, Zipporah, Rahab, Ruth, Uriah the Hittite, etc.
