Three Northeast Tennessee students, one from Dobyns-Bennett High School and two home-schooled, have received college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships. That puts them among 2,500 students nationwide receiving awards that were scheduled to be announced today.

These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
