DON'T STIGMATIZE MURDERERS!

May 28, 2014

Mass murder at a sunny college campus in a beach town would normally be considered "newsy," but Elliot Rodger's massacre at the University of California-Santa Barbara last Friday is getting surprisingly little press.

This is not a good case for liberals: The killer was an immigrant, a person of color, and the majority of his casualties resulted from attacks with a car or knife. It makes as much sense to rant about the NRA as to blame the Auto Club of America or the National Knife Collectors Association.

Rather, what we have is yet another mass murder committed by a schizophrenic -- just like those of Seung-Hui Cho, Jared Loughner, James Holmes and Adam Lanza.

I'm one of the few who have read all 141 pages. It is a tale of increasing delusions, paranoia, hallucinations and wild, grandiose self-assessments. In other words, it is a slightly less whiny version of Obama's first inaugural address.

Ouch.

Not a fair comparison. True, with both we have a biracial megalomaniac with delusions of persecution and an incredibly inflated sense of self-worth, but Rodgers didn’t have drones.

You left out:

1. I Personally shot Osama bin Laden.

I read the whole thing last night as well, and what was interesting was how similar he sounded to liberals. “Me me me me me me, why doesn’t the world revolve around me me me me, why does this other person have this and I don’t? He must be punished!” Just pure liberal type ranting for 141 pages, this is the kind of mindset we have in the nations highest offices.

Ann wanted to talk about this on Hannity last night but he only gave her 30 seconds.

I read the whole thing, too. And watched the videos. I don’t see how Coulter is getting “schizophrenic” from his rantings.

He wasn’t delusional — hot blondes really didn’t want anything to do with him. Neither did anyone else. Because he was a maladjusted whiney entitled loser who creeped people out.

He was a narcissist.who became enraged when even he couldn’t keep up the fake “supreme gentleman” id anymore.

Delusions of grandeur and delusions of persecution are two classic symptoms of clinical schizophrenia. I'm guessing that was it.

Malignant narcissism is a delusional state. An extreme psychotic break is also a pretty good indicator of schizophrenia.

Yeah, I don’t know where she is getting this schizo thing from as well. To me the kid talked just like a liberal, and I’m not making a joke out of this. That is JUST how they think! Someone else has something they want so therefore that person must be punished, this is the kind of thinking we get from the left everyday, and being that his daddy is a Hollywood director do I even have to guess this is what he taught his kid?

Were it a Tea Party faithful,
we would be hearing about

those with whom
he associated.

Why did he endure and inflict so much pain when all he had to do was lower his standards?

I don’t think posters on FR understand that narcissism is the great disorder of our age.

They don’t understand the culture of YouTube or Facebook, the lust for fame, the dismay that kids who got a trophy for showing up experience when they have to work a job.

Or how kids who never faced consequences for failing in school, like being held back a grade, react when they realize that success and rewards can’t be divorced from genuine achievement.

Their lack of character and effort were pathologized by bad parents as “Learning disabilities” or “schizophrenia.”

But at some point, the most raging narcissist realizes he can’t control reality - just because he SAYS he’s a god and a supreme gentlemen, destined for greatness— well, at some point even he realizes it’s not true. And we all know it’s not true. And like a two year old who can’t control the reality that he’s strapped in a high chair eating cheerios, he can’t control what we think about him, and he throws a tantrum.

This unmasked narcissist threw a tantrum with knives and guns and a car. He wasn’t sick. He needed a nap, a job, and a father. And I don’t feel sorry for him.

This started well before YouTube or Facebook. In the late 1970s hubby had a friend that was in the military; and as conservative as they come, raised Christian and conservative. He met a liberal woman and fell in love. At the time she didn’t seem to be a radical- she was not an anti-war protestor, hippy- or anything obvious. Hubby and I and that couple spent a lot of time together; dates, camping, socialized nearly every day. Hubby and I got married and so did they and they moved away- we started having and raising children, did not see each other for several years.

When our oldest children were about 8 we went to visit them. Their kids were ill mannered, spoiled, did not mind- absolute brats. It came up that the wife did not believe in spanking or even harsh reprimands- she was of the thought that you just talk to your children to correct them. The kids all started playing board games and our oldest and theirs were the same age. After a few games their daughter had a meltdown and her mother took her away to talk to her. When the mom came back she said she needed to talk to me. The woman proceeded to tell me that our daughter was way too aggressive and competitive and they were not raising their daughter that way at all. I asked my daughter what was going on and she told me that the other girl had won some games- several in a row to begin with because the game was new to my daughter. When my daughter started figuring out how to play she began to win part of the games and that is when the other girl had her meltdown. The mother informed me that they allowed their children to win games, and were teaching them not to be competitive- just play for “fun” and she felt my daughter was not being fair because she would not let the other girl win. I was stunned. Life is competitive, competition is everywhere- for jobs, you name it. They were raising kinder gentler children and hiding the “bad” parts of life from them- like losing at games, and finding that people can be better than you are at some things.

Their children have turned out to be major losers- our friends bought a McMansion when they retired and it is a good thing because both their daughters ended up coming home with children because they failed at romance- both ended up addicted to drugs, unable to hold jobs- the whole mess. That woman now tells me how “lucky” we are that our children are supporting themselves, and have good jobs- not addicts, etc. Sure that’s it, if all your children fail at life it is just bad luck.

Children that are raised to expect life to be perfect, not raised to deal with reality- they cannot succeed at even a basic life. In many ways they act mentally ill, some may actually be but when people say liberalism is a mental disorder I think it is closer to the truth than not.

Ha! Bullseye! That’s just what I said a few days ago, he was like a baby throwing a tantrum but instead of breaking his toys he breaks people because he sees them as his toys. Oh the freakin’ narcissism is unbelievable out there.

The Santa Barbara shooter was obsessed with class envy, he celebrated envy. That just makes him a good Democrat. Should we then harass all good Democrats? Probably yes...but no.
