We’ve got “Murdoch” on Netflix, too, sometimes on streaming and sometimes DVD. Are you seeing the Canadian Broadcast Corp series, starring Yannick Bisson, or the American version (same plots, different cast)?

My oldest daughter (23) refers to the Canadian Murdoch was “my future ex-fiancé.” We love his brown eyes and perfect teeth.

Yannick Bisson, of course. What kind of name is Yannick? I can’t figure out his nationality (other than Canadian.)

Your daughter has good taste. He seems like a nice man, as well as being drop dead gorgeous. I’ve watched clips of him at the show’s website.

Actually my husband looked a lot like Bisson when he was younger. The years have taken their toll, as they have with me, LOL.

You mean it wasn't Bush's fault?

One thing is certain: Jesse Watters will never ask that question on a future episode of O’Reilly.

French. It probably started as a nickname for “Jean,” and took on a life of its own, like “Caitlin” and variants for Catherine. I’ve seen the name in the credits for other shows made in Canada or France, such as the goofy cartoon “Oscar’s Oasis,” made by French and Koreans, or “Caillou.”

Yes, my daughter has good taste. I haven’t seen much about the actor, but the character is just the sort we’d like our daughter to fall for!

LOL! We love “1776!” too.

Anoreth would stage Shakepeare events using our Playmobil castle set. Richard III gives a speech, and then turns to his giant lions and says, “Attack!” Then the Goa’uld mothership appears overhead (Pat’s role) and the small alien fighters (who double as Yanks and Rebs, as needed) parachute in ...

That’s quite an achievement. None of ours has done that since we got the propane grill. (And before that, it was too easy, unless the charcoal had been out in the rain a long time.)

Well, then there was the middle son who kept incubating an ovate rock because it was a dinosaur egg.

But it never hatched...

That occurred here as well, although he just kept the “egg” under his pillow, didn’t get any other heat sources involved.

IMO there is a strong argument to be made that he was the most influential person of the 20th century.

But charcoal rocks ignite easier than rock rocks... ;-)

Of course having a rock rock with a high sulfurous content aids ignition...

Franz Ferdinand Frontman Shot By Gavrilo Princip Bassist

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND—Lead singer and guitarist for pop band Franz Ferdinand, Alexander Kapranos, is in critical condition today after being shot by a man identified as the bassist for rock group Gavrilo Princip. "We ask fans to cooperate with Interpol to find the assailant, and call upon British Sea Power, Snow Patrol, and The Postal Service for help," drummer Paul Thompson told music magazine NME Monday. "The suspect had links to The Decemberists and The Libertines, and we are following up on all leads." It is unclear whether the shooting was linked to The Polyphonic Spree's invasion of Belgium earlier this week.
