If so, you’ll be learning what Rabbi Lapin teaches the same as what was taught 2,000 years ago during your rabbi’s time and 3,000 years ago from Moses at Mt. Sinai.
Even your rabbi said that the pharisees (aka rabbis) were correct in what they taught. It was their example that wasn’t very consistent.

Every other translation calls him a rabbi so get over it. Your rabbi is...a rabbi.
In the Gospels they call Jesus “Rabbi”, meaning “Master” and implies a great teacher. Jesus was a Rabbi to the disciples, because he was their Master and teacher.

That’s what rabbis do. They teach Torah to their students and to their congregation if they lead one.

And his job title was, “rabbi.” He didn’t create Christianity at all. It was his talmidim (students) who got that started until ancient Rome co-opted the movement and made it their own.

Torah v1.0 has never been obsolete. If you study with the rabbis you’ll understand why. Torah is forever.
If the rabbis of today are obsolete then your rabbi is, too, because if he was here today among us he would be teaching the same thing!

Nope. Judaism is still here and getting stronger every day. More and more Jews are coming back to Torah just as the Prophets of old said would happen.

There’s only one God, one Torah, one Tanakh (Torah, Prophets and Writings aka the Jewish Bible). The New Testament was written AFTER the Tanakh and appended it to it. Think of the New Testament as a replacement Torah/Tanakh. Replacement theology was intended to get rid of Jews and Judaism, but it didn’t work.
