Progress is slow in the garden as I'm spread too thin with our garden, the Church yard and I'm trapping moles for a friend a couple of miles out of town plus the usual errands. Most everything is planted that I am putting in this year and we have been thinning beets and carrots plus I hilled up the tators for the second and last tim.

Thanks for the pictures. I am loving looking at that corn. Would you please tell me again what type you are planting? I am going to be trying something different next year, and I am thinking that your corn might be just the ticket.

I also wanted to mention my Garlic. For the first time, it isn’t doing so well. I planted it in the fall like usual and covered with row cover and straw during the really cold weather like usual.

They grew fine as far as the height and good green color. However, they did start yellowing early and they are not forming bulbs this year.

Would an extra cold winter cause this or some nutrient deficiency? Any possibilities to explore that you can think of would be helpful. Thanks.
