I think pretty universally Christian theology teaches that we are all “of Satan” by our natural birth, that of “water.” Christ calls him the master of this world. That is why Christ tells Nicodemus, “you must be born again.” That is the spiritual birth by grace through faith by believing in Jesus Christ to take our sins on himself by means of the once for all payment of his blood and death on the cross. Agree or disagree, even up to this point in time, that is the philosophy that has shaped the culture we live in.

No one can be born Christian. The most one can claim is having been born into a family that practices Christianity. To be a Christian is to make a mature decision to follow the teachings and make a declaration of that faith within one's community. Even then, salvation is not a slam dunk; but rather the result of a lifetime of learning, repenting for mistakes and living out the values as a result of the commitment, and not as a way to "earn" salvation. Salvation cannot be earned through works; it is a gracious gift for the humble and contrite follower of the Lord.

All people were born condemned before they are saved. The appeal to being born that way, doesn’t remove personal accountability for acts of volition.

Some people really want to murder other people. Some may have been born that way. That doesn’t excuse them of their actions, nor their responsibility to reject such a temptation.
