Was Phil Mickelson targeted by Obama People?

Word is, Phil Mickelson is mad as hell about rising tax rates, and he’s not going to take it anymore. What follows is a brief portion of an interview Mickelson gave earlier today after carding a final-round 66 at the Palmer Course at PGA West in La Quinta – which I assure you, is not associated with the La Quinta next door to your local Denny’s – in which the golfer hinted that he is considering drastic career changes because of a combined tax rate nearing “62, 63 percent:”

Just another high profile Martha Stewart-like case while the real Wall Street crooks go unscathed.

He finishes Thursdays first round at The Memorial and the FEDS approach him on the course. What did they think he was going to do, fire the jet up and take off for Bolivia? This was public harassment all the way, regardless of the circumstances. How dare anyone speak out against the liberals tax schemes.

I agree......there’s nothing to comment about just yet......if Phil acted on an Icahn tip, he deserves to be prosecuted...if not, there’s some splainin to do. For now, it’s best to just relax and let it play out.

Phil didn’t give enough money to the DNC, apparently. He must not understand the Mafia and “protection.”

He probably donated money to the TEA Party. That’s illegal in this country.

Only congress can legally trade on inside information, think about that.

Phil Mickelson Denies Wrongdoing, Regarding Investigation
FBI, SEC Probe Golfer, Sports Bettor William ‘Billy’ Walters and Activist Investor Carl Icahn
By Scott Calvert
May 31, 2014

DUBLIN, Ohio—Pro golfer Phil Mickelson said he has done “absolutely nothing wrong,” making his first public comments about a federal insider-trading investigation involving him, Las Vegas sports gambler William “Billy” Walters and Wall Street activist investor Carl Icahn.

“That is why I have been fully cooperating with the FBI agents, and I am happy to do so in the future, too, until this gets resolved,” Mr. Mickelson told reporters on Saturday after the third round of the Memorial Tournament here.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Securities and Exchange Commission are examining whether Mr. Mickelson and Mr. Walters—an occasional golf partner of Mr. Mickelson’s—traded on nonpublic, potentially market-moving information provided by Mr. Icahn to Mr. Walters on at least one occasion.

Mr. Icahn, long known for his efforts to force changes in companies by taking aggressive ownership positions, and Mr. Walters, one of the country’s most well-known sports bettors, have been friends since Mr. Icahn owned the Stratosphere Hotel in Las Vegas.

Federal authorities haven’t yet determined whether illegal activity has taken place, according to people close to the matter.

Mr. Walters declined to comment when contacted on Friday. Mr. Icahn said on Friday that he is always very careful to observe all legal requirements in his activities and that the suggestion he was involved in improper trading was “inflammatory and speculative.”

Mr. Mickelson confirmed FBI agents approached him here on Thursday, the first day of the golf tournament. But he didn’t say what they asked about, and he declined to answer several other questions about the investigation, including when he was first contacted by the FBI or whether he had made certain investments now under scrutiny.

Unless the Feds can ‘prove’ that he knowingly used illegal information to make his decision, Phil can legally act on any tip he wants, be it from Icahn or anyone else.

Tiger did - FOR EXACTLY the same reason -

Lower taxes- now Phil has the WHOLE Demon

Party looking and investigating him.-

“Hey Phil- find a doctor in Florida that will treat
your bad back... then move there to be closer to
the clinic— great sympathy vote”

The process IS the punishment.

The government has unlimited resources with which to bankrupt anyone they target.

If the Feds haven’t determined if anything illegal has happened, why the heck are they confronting Mickleson ON THE GOLF COURSE? That’s workplace harassment.
