But since college baseball does not have anywhere near the following of college football or basketball this MLB draft is not that captivating for most people.

Some day it may be. It WAS actually trending on twitter tonight, which I found interesting.

Everything is cyclical. When my Dad was playing, all the best athletes gravitated towards baseball. Since then, they’ve headed to football and basketball. The pendulum will probably swing back - for one reason or another.

Watched it as I’m a long-suffering M’s fan. Got the best HS player and bat in the draft.

What’s the deal with LoMo? Love the guy, but he can’t stay healthy. I watched him hit the longest HR I’ve ever seen in person last year. Probably 475 ft. He needs to get it together.

I’m really happy about my Marlins. I think Verducci said before the season that they had “10 arms” within their system that would be in rotations on other teams.

Makes me feel better about losing Jose for the year. The fact that they’re leading the NL in hitting (outside of CO), makes it easier to digest.

Heaney is ready and I think we’ll see him soon. The rich get richer.

I AM a Marlins homer, but I’ve never had high expectations for any teams outside of 2003 where I said in May that there was something special. Sort of feeling it again. Just sort of at this point.

I’ll say this - playoff baseball in that park (filled and loud w/ the roof closed) would be like something no baseball fan has ever heard before. It would be crazy.

White Sox get LHP Carlos Rondon, he’s Cuban and Miami passed on him with pick #2!! Our 2nd round pick looks pretty good as well, if he forgoes college and signs, HS RHP Spencer Adams.

Meanwhile, on the Northside, reaction to Theo’s picks is more meh. Catcher Kyle Schwarber is not expected to catch in the bigs, he has raw power they say. And Maryland Terps converted RHP Jake Stinnett. Saving money?
