To my neighbor Dan. 70 years ago today, you landed on Omaha Beach.
A simple boy from New York City who became one of the finest gentlemen I've ever known and a damn great friend.
Thank you and your buddies for what you did.
Last November 2013, you left us. May we meet again some day, as Dame Lynn sang.
A salute and prayer of thanks to all who served and most especially to the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and her people in the name of freedom.
May God bless them all.
