I have an idea, how about people sleep when they aren’t at work. Is that just crazy or what?

Depends upon the metabolism.

Sometimes a 5-10 minute nap will bring me back refreshed, when the alternative leads to 30min-60 min of unproductive drowsy effort.

In Mexico they are called siestas.

Until not that long ago, there was a state employee (management) at a certain SC state agency who for years was famous for sleeping on the back dock where any one could see. After napping there, often times this person would make it to their office and resume. Every now and then this person was seen to attend a meeting once in a while.

He was finally let go or made to retire. I don’t know how he got away with it or what he had on someone to stay essentially untouchable.
