Coffee is served very strong, black and unadulterated with any kind of sweetener or flavoring. That’s coffee. Other preparations might be enjoyed by some but they’re not coffee.

Bingo!

I make my coffee so strong and black, anyone who comes to visit automatically knows they have to dilute it.

I drink it as is, about every third or fourth cup I might add some Irish Cream...

Agreed. If you can stand a spoon up in it, even better.

And, you should be able to eat it with a knife and fork, IMO, good old Army field coffee.

My wife will not drink my coffee. She says I may as well cut a slice and eat it. She likes her coffee so weak, you can read a book through it.
