He whined about fresh horses being allowed to compete in Crown events (as they always have), about the short duration between Crown events (has been that way since the Triple Crown began), and how they have to change the rules because his precious little dreams were shattered.
He wants everyone who does a better job than his team did to have an asterisk next to their names.
