Clinton had chosen Angelou to read a poem at his first inauguration in 1993. The original composition, On the Pulse of Morning, went on to became a million-seller.

He added: 'She may have stopped talking, but she never stopped paying attention.. Clinton, who spoke after rousing music by the Bobby Jones Gospel Choir, said: 'Her great gift in an action-packed life was that she was always paying attention.' 'She was without a voice for five years and then she developed he greatest voice on the planet. God loaned her His voice,' Clinton said. 'She had the voice of God. And he decided he wanted it back for a while.'

Like our president (or his ghostwriter), Angelou sold millions of books to good liberals that were shelved and left unread.

Vastly overrated much like her disciple Oprah. A pair of hucksters posing as demigods.

Personally, I doubt Bill Clinton would recognize the voice of God even if accompanied by peals of thunder and trumpet fanfare.

Actually clintoon heard both God and Satan when he was on operating table, they were arguing over who would have to take him when he died, neither one wanted him that's why he's still here.
