The wife and I have been to quite a few concerts by old rockers in the last four years. We’re always amused at the numerous concertgoers who seem to be more interested in their smartphones than watching the performers. And people standing all the time are unbelievably irritating. Sit in your damn seat says Driftless the old curmudgeon.
I call them the ‘bitter clingers’.
Maybe I’ve just been around too long. I’m so tired of all the phoning and texting that goes on everywhere. All these people walking around on the sidewalk and in the stores talking to themselves. Used to be we’d shuttle those kind of folks off to the funny farm. Now it’s hard to tell who is really hearing voices in their head or who is responding to a voice in their ear.
If people can’t watch and listen to an event, why did they waste the money on a ticket? I just don’t understand the need for some people to always be connected to and talking to someone.
I can’t remember the last time I went to a concert that even had any chairs.
