and in the NBA not only can you pretend to be injured and not have anyone say anything when you are suddenly healed but if the refs are obviously biased, you aren’t allowed to say anything.
Watching the Stanley Cup right now and had to turn down the sound the pounding is so annoying.
My peeve with some sporting events is the refs who have prefs and are obvious about it.
Yeah..you go on the announcement system and ask hockey fans to refrain from hitting the glass. That would be sweet to listen to.
But seriously, hockey fans are not pounding more. The problem is the mics are better and the sound on your HD TV is a LOT better. You are hearing what has been going on since glass was mounted next to the ice.
Whata game!
Second overtime 4:4
“Batters fiddling with their dumb batting gloveseven after they step out with no swing. Holy crap someone invent self tightening gloves already. Pitchers doodling around and working slow. Umpires not calling the high strike.”

Wow, just when I thought we were headed into a 3rd OT! Great game.

Baseball is the only sport left where the athletes are allowed to have fun once in awhile. The thug factor is also pretty low in baseball. :)

So-called “celebs” in the announcer’s booth spouting off on their favorite cause du jour.
The Guy in the Crowd pestering viewers with the opinions of morons up in the stands.
Fifty “Instant Replay” shots for every, single play.
The networks seem to feel that simply turning on a camera or two and letting folks watch the game is somehow a disservice.
Much of the time, these days, I just sit and watch the game with the sound turned off.
