I liked Oblivion a lot too...I'll probably go see Edge of Tomorrow". Tom Cruise picks some great sci-fi scripts to star in.
1. Belle: A terrific historical drama about a black orphan from Africa brought up in high-society England by her relatives
2. Words and Pictures: A well done drama about difficulties in peoples lives and getting resolution for them, tempered by very excellent humor, in an appealing private school setting
The list of excellent movies with low budgets is actually quite extensive. It seems that more people are choosing them over the Hollywood huge budget nonsense that is overwhelmed by special effects and unending litanies which glorify violence.
These days I don’t go to the movies much. I like to watch the oldies.....even if I have seen them a hunted times they are enjoyable. The good guys win. I rarely am preached at and when I am it is direct and straight forward (think Gentleman’s Agreement).

Never. The theme is too white, too Christian and involves the subjugation of Indians and Blacks.
