The public schools in my hometown of Gary, Indiana have one by one been shuttered. Several of them were replaced back in the 80s by a new school (built with Federal Funds) called "West Side High School.

This school is promoting school and community spirit by selling windshield (or rear window) decals that proudly state in letters about five inches high -
