There’s something else wrong with this woman, this is not merely drunken behavior. That man likely died because of her indifference, after hitting him. What sort of person, in any state of inebriation short of passed out, could drive around with a person stuck in a broken windshield? She got off light, imho.

In a case like this, I do not think prison is the answer. It amounts to free room and board for the rest of her sorry life. Better she be in house arrest in some slummy apartment.
