Surrounded by polluted endangered waters, he went down with the ship in "Titanic"....and is now eminently qualified as an expert on saving the oceans....and this great oceanographer is currently embarking on lecturing gigs to educate us dumb landlubbers living high and dry across the fruited plain.
Reminds me of Meryl Streep, the great scientist and expert chemist when it comes to insecticides and chemical sprays.
She was called upon to tesify before Congress on Alar, a chemical spray she dramatically warned would devastate agriculture....and would hasten the end of the world.
Of course, she ended up looking like a dumbass after her expert testimony helped to devastate the U.S. apple-growing industry....and, after the millions-of-dollars-of-damage was done, her whole schtick was scientifically shown to be a total hoax and deliberate scare promoted by her friends in the eco-nazi industry.
What were Streep's scientific qualifications to be such an educated food and chemical expert? Answer: she played famous chef Julia Child in a movie....and Julie, of course, worked with food, and maybe even baked an apple pie in the film.
Get it?
See ya at the movies!

Reminds me a bit of Sheryl Crow [sp?] who proposed that folks use just one square piece of toilet paper when addressing the rearguard... ?starting with her...?
