Its nice to see all of those Military Working dogs and their Puppy-pushers at work.

K9 handlers usually don’t get a lot of P.R.

My son’s retired K9 bomb-sniffing Belgian Malainois recently was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Thanks to friends and strangers, usually via the internet, they contributed enough money to cover most of the serious expenses associated with radiation therapy.

Loena is doing well, and though retired, she still guards my wife and my granddaughter.

We need a law that not only allows a dog handler serviceman to buy his dog when they return to the US, but to also allow other government dog handlers (including my son), to buy their dog when its’ service life has ended. They have an unique bond that shouldn’t be broken.

We want to call it “Loena’s Law”. It could save the lives of these brave service dogs who are often put down at the end of their service life.

Thanks to all those who contributed to Loena’s treatment. It really touched my son, a combat veteran of Iraq. He’s proud of those who cared.
