My Dad was a veteran of WW2 and Korea.
The oceans were in much more danger back then, as the world was tossing battleships, airplanes, aircraft carriers, nuclear bombs, fuel, and human bodies by the ton into those very oceans.
Somehow, the oceans survived.
My Dad, however, did NOT survive the VA’s neglect.
My Mom took care of him at home for ten years, as he wasted away with alzheimers. For nearly the same length of time, she begged the VA for assistance and was refused.
That’s nothing...walk down the halls of a VA Hospital this month and see posters for gay pride month advertising all gay themed activities.
