How pissed would the world be if the USA, a country who doesn’t give a rip about soccer, won their little tournament?
It wouldn’t be.
The rest of the World would just welcome the US the same as it would anyone else.
In fact it would be a good thing. The prima-donnas would be shown for what they are.
As pissed as the Russians were when the amateur American Hockey team defeated the professional Russian Hockey team in the 1980 Winter Olympics.
That will always remain a hypothetical... at least during this century.
The little tournament is the biggest sports event on the planet, along with the Olympics.
Now, the SB, WS, NBA, NHL........there are sports few outside N America give a stuff about.
