Could The House impeach President Obama? Probably not.
Washington Post ^ | 6-17-2014 | AARON BLAKE

Posted on 06/17/2014 8:45:17 AM PDT by Citizen Zed

Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) wagered this week that the House could impeach President Obama if it wanted to, becoming the latest in a long line of congressional Republicans to float the "i" word. (His spokesman later clarified that Barletta isn't advocating such a thing, but that he truly believes the House would approve it.)

Is he right?

In short: Probably not.

Someone posted a great article from Canada Free Press last week that describes a multitude of ways to inactivate the dictator immediately.

They didn’t discuss WHO has authority to declare him unfit, but it could possibly even be other than Congress. For example, suppose a group of governors on the border declared him unfit, or a traitor? Guess Perry wouldn’t do it, but what if? Maybe some state legislatures would take it up for debate? AZ, TX? With Sec of Defense as corrupt as himself, it wouldn’t be the military either, but what if Joint Chiefs of Staff declared him unfit to lead the military? What if an independent prosecutor charged him with high crimes? We are not paralyzed as much as we might think.

Demonic control doesn’t necessarily manifest itself as frothing madness, but often as malaised indifference to militant evil. Even many “evangelical churches” are exhibiting this symptom. I dressed down a pastor of my former church for just this very cowardice.

Certainly nothing will happen before mid term elections. Having Holder at Justice is the firewall after that. If we survive Obama, it will be a miracle, I swear. Thx, LS.

I wish that weren't true. Pray, work against it where we can; we can't let him (them) destroy our inner resolve to bring back the good things that once were here.

Have a great day down there!

clearly, ejecting God from our homes, culture and institutions is proving the consequences before our very eyes, with the antidote of repentance no where in sight even in the, now, mostly milquetoast churches.

AMEN! I'm beginning to wonder if Obama is not a Judgment upon us. Obama is a reflection of the wickedness that took root in our culture that the church refused to stand against.

So much so that the concept of SHAME no longer exists in this society any more. We are fully leavened.

Impeachment is as stupid and silly as it was for our forbears to repeatedly prostrate themselves before the Crown and Parliament and beg for redress and mercy to stop the tyranny they were suffering at their hand.

You CANNOT stop or remove tyrants by civil means - PERIOD.

It will take a war. Literally.

Our own history teaches this.

Yet too many would rather believe in a fantasy that is no longer a remote possibility, because they even refuse to acknowledge we’ve been transformed into a MarxoFascist dictatorship.

There is no point in impeaching if you cannot remove from office.

Thank you!
There’s no way a Dirty Harry Senate is gonna vote on anything these days, let alone convicting Caliph Baraq.

Can anyone cite an example in history where removing a tyrant from office did not require force or the overwhelming threat of force?

Obama is laughing his ass off at us.

We have absolutely NO CLUE what has already happened to us.

My opinion is that we have been “turned over to ourselves”. Now morally bankrupt in our dealings within every institution, with cascading liberties for sodomites and abortion forced upon us all and our children with no real resistance, certainly not beyond our keyboards. This is civil war fodder, of as much importance as slavery ever was.

The fact is, only the Democrats can remove that turd.
If the Republicans try this, it will re-activate the criminal left and polarize the electorate.

There’s quite a bit of groundwork that needs doing anyway: impeach Holder, demand special prosecutors for each of the turd’s offenses—obliging the press to cover these.
Another thing the Dems do is individually attack, in the media, in the courts and regardless how trivial, anyone they regard as their enemy. This diverts and drains resources.

As to the media, here’s a hunch: buy enough advertising and you can assert some editorial influence. They always deny this of course, but money does the trick.

Nixon. Yes he resigned, but he was forced from office.

Nixon was a ‘tyrant’????

I seem to remember Nixon had a modicum of respect for the Constitution, the rule of law and national unity. I also recall he stepped down of his own accord when he considered fighting the Impeachment articles would tear apart the country.

Not the measure of a ‘tyrant’ in my estimation.

A crook, perhaps. Not a tyrant.

Patriots need to understand that, in order for a president to be impeached out of office, both Houses of Congress have to agree on impeachment.

Sigh. For the ten thousandth time - the House impeaches; the Senate conducts a trial.

House could impeach, but much like the Clinton impeachment the Senate will not do its job and will vote not to convict.

You see the house is the body that decides what is impeachable and writes and passes the articles of impeachment, then the senate is supposed to hold a trial to see if the president did indeed do the things that are in the articles, and if it is proven they should vote for conviction.

HOWEVER, just like during CLinton’s the Senate Dems will not vote on whether he did the acts in the articles but will simply vote against them arguing they aren’t impeachable offenses or what not.

The House under the current leadership of the GOP WILL NEVER introduce Articles of Impeachment. NEVER.

They know Obama would use that event to ignite a race and civil war against them; they know the Praetorian Media will never allow the reasons for the Articles to be properly explained and understood by the emoting public.

And the GOP Ruling Class are cowards.

Look folks, we Conservatives and Americans have been demonized, our principles ridiculed, castigated and discarded - we are now BEING REPLACED by a horde of illiterate illegals and a Dependent state of perpetual slaves to government.

Talk of impeachment is an absurd fantasy. Impeachment is for a society that runs and operates under the rule of law to upholds a civil society with a foundation that nearly EVERYONE agrees on. We are now NONE of those things and this country no longer has a foundational set of principles it is willing to live and die by.

Yes, but please consider the following. I'm using the term impeachment as it is probably understood by low-information voters, "get rid of the bum," not the two House impeachment process described in the Constitution.
