Strange. I’ve never had emails on my “computer”. Any email system I’ve had for a couple decades now have been on centralized systems (private and corporate. I’ve been told that those systems are backed up and archived.

For a while the Fortune 500 company I worked for “allowed” us to archive emails to our hard drive. But we could have put them on the net as the net was backed up every night and our machines weren’t. But they still had them in their backups. They just wouldn’t get them for anybody below the rank of director or unless a director told them to. In my opinion a bunch of guys came up with this without checking whether it was reasonable. Like Hillary who googled her own translation of “reset” they knew they couldn’t be wrong. The most ignorant people are those who don’t known what it is they don’t know.
