ABC News is reporting that Heart2Heart Montessori Academy in Willow Park, Texas, is under investigation by a state agency for allegedly duct taping two children to their sleeping mats for refusing to go to sleep during nap time.
The director of the school, Ashlea Pena, said that while the incident was "foolish" and "thoughtless," that the children were not harmed and went on to describe the situation as being "extremely exaggerated by a very upset parent."
She also said the child in the photo woke up smiling after falling asleep within 5 minutes of being taped down.
The child licensing division of Texas' Department of Family and Protective Services is looking into incident. ABC News reports the Willow Park Police will also conduct a criminal investigation.

I didn’t have daycare. I had a Mom w/ a wooden spoon.
So its not just husbands and worn out boyfriends who do this.
That’s why its called Texas Babysitter!
LOL!!
LOL! Been there done that but I used the precursor to duct tape, baling wire.
Try to imagine what it’s like to get a group of ten or so pre-schoolers to take a nap at the same time on the schools schedule. (and this is a Montessori school?). Handcuffing the young ‘uns to the cots might have been better than using up all that duct tape (relax....I’m kidding)
Keeps ‘em off the street & out of the bars.
Welcome to the Red Green Daycare Center.

Criminy!
MacGyver could take out a city with all that stuff.
..my mom told me that as a baby I was always escaping from my wooden play pen....I would lay on my back and kick the wooden slats out... drove her nuts
a little duct tape sounds like a good idea
My mom tried everything to keep me in my bed. Ended up with some sort of harness that strapped me in but let me roll around without getting strangled. And I was fairly old (3 to 4??)
The last straw was her getting up one morning to pull my older siblings bag lunches out of the fridge that she had made and packed the night before. I had eaten all three PBJ sandwiches and the three cookies! (I think she said the carrots were still there.)
Maybe this will this work with politicians, too?
good tip I will keep it in mind
