Remington Model 760 in 30-06 with 18 1/2 in. bbl.

Louder than heck but it works when little piggie is coming at you wif’ all his toofies on parade.

I have that in .44. Might be my most favorite rifle.

Always wanted a Model 94 or Marlin 336, but I settled for a cherry condition Western Field 30-30(Marlin 336) a buddy sold me for $200 last year.

Rem 760, is that the pump action carbine? I took a boar with one of those once.

12 games pump with slugs works well to, depending on the ranges. I love that old discontinued Ruger 44, but had on jam up on me boar hunting. Only time in my life it gave me trouble, and I suspect it was ammo. 300 gr handloads - I think they might might have been government.

Will work but I know a guy who got treed by a hog and had a 30-30. All he could get was a shot at the top of its head, and the 30-30 didn’t penetrate the skull.

Since I don’t have to really pay for it, a nice grade Holland and Holland in .375 H&H mag. Anything more powerful would kick too much.

I could get by with my Yugo Mauser in 8mm using fmj surplus ammo.

Basically any reliable repeater using powerful deep penetrating ammo.

I’m old school, I’d use my 1938 Savage 99 takedown in .300 Savage.
