I had halfway made a sweater for my daughter, then put it aside and now she’s a couple of years older and another size so I ripped it all out yesterday while watching soccer and have started a new one.

I hear that. However, my kids have very little contact with mom. None of them live near her, and they rarely talk with her. She has no desire or capability to help them out in any way, especially financially and emotionally. They pretty much think of her as a soulless thief. She took all the savings bonds that she was supposed to hold on to for their education and cashed them in years ago, well over a thousand bucks each of 4 kids, which in Massachusetts where she now lives is 4 counts of grand larceny which carries a 5 to 20 year sentence for each count.
They’d have a lot less contact with her if she were in jail where she belongs. LOL
Happy anniversary! That was sweet of them to have a dinner for you!
