You’ve never watched any of the series, so how can you say?
In any event, most of TV is trash. HBO is at least high quality trash. ;-)
It looks intriguing. I missed Longmire last night so I’ll catch it tonight. Poor Standing Bear.
I’ve read the reviews or storylines and wasn’t impressed. It’s a matter of opinion about trashy offerings. Like books. I just don’t want to waste my time on crap.
24 is taking forever to catch my interest this season, maybe because we didn’t bother watching the last couple of seasons. Thank goodness for inDemand but I hate that I cannot FF through it. So far we are up to episode 4, moving slowly.
I watched Longmire-some older plot threads are getting entangled in the present ones, like really good mysteries...
It looks like it might be interesting. I guess it depends on where they go with it.
He’s supposed to be going back reluctantly for a wedding and then get sucked into the family business. That being running the country.
On a related note, I watched “The Dictator” last weekend. Pretty funny, if you like Sasha Baron Cohen. It was not too over-the-top. There was one funny scene where he was about to be tortured by this American guy and he’s making fun of the torture tools he has as being outdated. “Where’s the splash guard?”
“This was banned in Saudi Arabia for being too safe.”
I thought the same thing-I want to see where they go with it-is the American doctor relative really going to be an agent of change for the better, or is he just a Middle Eastern version of Michael Corleone...
I never watched the previous “final” 24 season, but that didn’t really affect the enjoyment of this one. I think it is much better paced at only 12 episodes. Less filler and random, pointless storylines.
They could have ended it after last night’s denouement of the main storyline.
I think the latter.
I hope not-that would make the thing boring. There is a novela on Telemundo right now-El Senor de los Cielos-based on a real-life friend of Pablo Escobar’s with a similar plot line-the narco’s son goes to Barcelona to get away and be law abiding, becomes a lawyer, now he is back and being seduced and even threatened by relatives to get into the “family business”...
What a sweet kid!
During their trip to the FIFA World Cup, the British Futbol (Soccer) Team visited an orphange in Brazil. “It was heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope,” said Jose, age 6.
