That’s not why they nixed the trade. It was bad timing, the league had just gone through all kinds of rules tweaks trying to get a system in place that would stop making it so the big teams get all the big players. Then before the ink was even dry a deal comes up that will once again send a big players from a small team to a big team, thus completely invalidating everything Stern said he was trying to accomplish. Stern couldn’t have the league run team show his pet project had failed, so he invalidated it (the pathetic part is the guys negotiating the trade were in the same building as Stern, with him being against it it never should have been made public). Stern is gone, Silver hasn’t shown any concern over big teams getting bigger.

But Silver has shown that he will beg over backwards for “Political correctness” if he has enough NBA owners crying over a big name star going to a big name city he will make sure it doesn’t happen..its not like LeBron would come to LA anyway, he wants to be the man, and that wouldn’t work with Kobe here..and LeBron is a prick, big Obama lover, Trayvon supporter..I think him coming here would be a bad idea anyway, would much rather have Kevin Love
