Genius Idea: New Dating Site For Braniacs
Daily Caller ^ | 06/25/2014 | Julia Dent

Mensa and Match.com have teamed up to create a new dating site for people whose IQ is in the 98th percentile.

On Mensa Match, brainiacs can find people to date with the same intelligence level, according to the Daily Mail. The site was inspired by a survey where 80 percent of American singles said dating people on the same intelligence level was “very important.” 89 percent also said they would like to be with someone “considerably better educated or more intellectual.”

“Why do we want a smart partner? Because intelligence is correlated with many benefits, including: higher income; sense of humor; creativity; social skills; coordination; and problem solving. These are sexy,” said chief scientific advisor for Match.com Dr. Helen Fisher.

“Money can buy a sexy evening on the town. People everywhere gravitate to smart lovers, because an intelligent partner comes with a host of sexy perks.”

No, not quite that far gone. He was polite to a fault. He wasn’t as calculating as that sounded, it just wasn’t first nature for him.

"I’m guessing it’s going to be packed with liberals who think that going to expensive colleges and smoking pot with outright Marxists makes them smart."

This is the key factor. Libs are profoundly stupid, and worse, do not realize this simple fact. It explains their absolute conviction that everyone MUST be equal.
To them, equality means that they are at least as intelligent as their enemies.

Look up the Dunning Kruger Effect, and you will realize that the ultimate solution is going to be a eugenic war. The survivors will be the ones who are willing to finish the job.

“It’s the rare human being who has an extremely high IQ, is athletic, sociable to the point of a winning personality, sexually attractive, etc., the stereotype has a factual basis.”

it maybe there is one like that who will pop up and presume to have the answers to save the world...he’ll be called antichrist!(The beast system...Beast...false prophet and Beast Image)

Everyone who wants to understand supersmart kids should see Little Man Tate. There's a heartbreaking scene where he runs toward the flowers, remembering some reference to them as friends, as all the other kids run away together to play.

I didn't agree with the ending, however. Geniuses don't decide to conform in order to fit in. They're too smart for that.

He was a nice guy, odd as that sounds. Just befuddled I guess, he knew all the social niceties because he was raised that way, but when it came to fellow high school students as peers who didn’t play by those rules, he was clueless and so he resorted to studying the situation in order to succeed. Success had always been expected of him. He carried the pressure of that well enough. Usual teen stuff blew his mind, though.

I question so-called geniuses who reject that God exists. The brain could be sharp but the soul might be sick. Man does not live by brain alone.
But being a dumb-dumb is a no-no.

I’d imagine such a person could be fairly mesmerizing if he or she determined to be so.

Dating is not just difficult, it is nigh unto impossible. We constantly overthink every word, and worse, we have traded the ability to instinctively read body language and facial cues, for what, to me, ultimately, is only a good memory.

What's the big deal about remembering everything you've ever read?

The most condescending liberals I run into rely on their pedigree. They think that being in an Ivy League school, reading “smart” literature and partying with “intelligent” people makes them more intelligent and more caring.

Often when I argue with these people, they resort to tired buzzwords and slogans from 1960’s peace marches.

It’s totally obvious they can’t think at all. No matter how lukewarm and simple I make the argument, they just can’t (or won’t) follow it.

These people are extremely dangerous when they’re in positions to act on their knowledge (or lack of it).

I think it’s part of what’s wrong with what’s going on right now. Our society is being run by people who are completely stupid and too arrogant to listen to anything but their own hubris.

My wife and I both qualify for MENSA due to test scores in the past.

Uh, huh...... If your so smart, how come you got zotted a while back and we smart FReepers petitioned JimRob to let you back into FReeperland?, Hmmmmmmm :-)

I still haven’t figured that one out. The test that qualifies me is my ASVAB (military entrance) test that I took in junior high to get out of a class. LOL I think my ACT is also high enough.

I’m no genius. As a matter of fact, most people here are probably much better at math than I am. That’s my Achille’s Heal.

I went to a Mensa meeting once. Never so bored in my life. The single men in there just stayed on their side of the room, like a 6th grade dance.

I went to several, including one of the annual (nationwide) gatherings (in Orlando, at the Peabody). There was one heck of a lot of drinking, and a lot of nudity and general insanity going on.

Funny thing was that the FBI was holding a convection there that same weekend (but totally stayed to themselves).

My Achille's heal is loving to give fellow FReepers a bad time.

Hey, I just love this place!

I actually could recall every book I have ever read. The first book I ever read was “ Pat the Bunny”.

I have over 1500 books in my small apt, and made a very good living because I had a photographic memory.

I don’t know where my life would be if I couldn’t read.

Agreed. I just didn’t know what to put on that page.

I only have one. Not enough to be a crazy cat lady.

Mensa and FBI at the same place? That is wonderful!

The meeting i went to was in a University town, maybe by having it near Mickey World it might have been more fun?

That guy sounds like another guy I knew—brilliant financial type, but bewildered in any social setting. His wife (now ex-) once told us that he couldn’t tell when people were angry—he couldn’t read the signs.

I think most of those mensa types are somewhere on “the spectrum” of autism. They’re zeroed in on the narrow band that IQ tests measure, but at the expense of wider experience and perception.

Their narrow focus, combined with indoctrination and arrogance, is the reason so many of them are leftists.
