If you are disappointed, I will be shocked.
Amazing! That is some God-given talent right there, no question.
Wow. ‘nuff said.
She’s very pretty and a good singer but I don’t like that kind of music. I like Jackie Evancho much better. She’s 13 now, and drop dead beautiful little blonde.
when was this? Cuase I thought simon wasn’t doing this anymore?
Amazing little girl, and she is only 13, 13 years old..the sky is the limit for her
Not to be the pessimist in the crowd. But, if things go as they usually go, she will be an addict, twice married and with two kids by the time she is 18. UNLESS, she has strong parents willing to stand up to her future handlers and with a level head on her shoulders.
I wish her well.
A bit old...but I know her background...she’s been schooled in song pretty much from being a toddler....also acting I understand. So she’s had a great deal of professional training.
I am an fan of these talent shows.....here’s one of a young 9 year old who blew the socks off everyone singing “O Mio Babbino Caro” (opera)....she taught herself from ‘watching videos on you tube’ on how to sing....no professional training at all.
Actual singing starts at 1:36
Amazing voice. Hope her parent are wise enough to protect her from being the next mylie Cyrus or lady gaga.
She gives me hope!
But that was kind of mean of you to suggest I'd be jealous of a pretty little brunette who sings a type of music I never liked.
Hi svcw....check out link on post 12 too...I was flabbergasted....
Life is tougher than we can imagine...and those of us who think we have it licked are just beginning to enter the fight.
sorry...it just seemed like raining on the little girl’s parade and our enjoyment of it.
Absolutely beautiful. Puccini would cry!
That girl is a professional. She was on Broadway, too.
Wow. I am not sure I have ever seen the like and I’ve seen just about everyone. The only one like unto her is Karise Eden. If you haven’t seen her, here ya go. But her and this little girl ... just wow. Thanks SO much for this post.
In the entertainment business, the Mylie Cyrus might the limit
Others would find it all very unexciting. The little girl obviously had talent and she got her moves and gestures just right.
Try post 12 link..nine year old taught herself opera watching you tube...no professional teaching at all. Impressive and even a cut above the gal from Pittsburgh.
Hopefully with this girl, with two decent parents, won’t go the Cyrus route
when simon smiles and gets the look in his eye, win or lose they got it made. Susan Boyle lost but hey shes a millionaire now eh?
I’ve followed this little gal to see where she has gone...interesting that in her country they “protect” their children so she is only allowed very few performances a year....which includes even interviews. Though she’s become popular since her audition she is currently limited in exposure. But sufficient to stay in the view of her fans.
Good luck to her. Child prodigies often slide off the road to successful adulthood.
I don’t care for pop music either, and no, I’m not jealous. There are some people who believe moaning and groaning and screeching aren’t music.
i agree...thy tart to over sing the song...loses me. Aguilara does that....its annoying
That was brilliant, I have heard that many times but had tears while listening this time
God is good
Great voice. But, you can’t beat this, tho!
Video and Audio completely out of sync.
Keep her away from Disney!
She’s even better than Jackie Evancho at that age.
“Not to be the pessimist in the crowd. But, if things go as they usually go, she will be an addict, twice married and with two kids by the time she is 18. UNLESS, she has strong parents willing to stand up to her future handlers and with a level head on her “
Nonsense. I saw Brittany Spears on Star Search when she was 12 years old and she turned out just fine.
Her name is Carly Rose Sonenclar from Mamaroneck, NY. The video was from her audition for the 2012 US X-Factor show which she went on to win 2nd place overall in December of 2012.
Along with starring in several Broadway shows, a couple of movies, and playing Gilda Flip on PBS’s Electric Company kid’s show, she starred in an episode of Law and Order: SVU that aired in November 2013.
She is now 15 years old. Columbia Records has signed her to a record deal and she is currently working on a debut album of original songs.
Like I said. “Wow”. Anything more, and I would have babbled all over the page. Not much gets me to say “Wow”. Like the one judge said. She sang from an old soul. Not many of those out there. I look forward to hearing her without the crowd noise.
Be prepared to be shocked then. She isn't all that good. I bet that on any given day in any middle school or high school talent show, you could find many equal or even better and more talented singers than her.
She wasnt bad but then again there was nothing exceptional about her voice. And the problem I have with it is while she has some range, most of it was IMO, rang and sounded rather flat in spots in terms of her hitting the actual notes. It sounded to me like a rather mediocre voice or even bad singer who is made to sound better via the magic of a sound technician using auto tune.
Im just not a big fan of this style of singing and to compare her to Nina Simone is simply ridiculous.
The kid sang the lyrics to the same song and she sang a lot of notes but there was just no soul or feeling in it.
Color me unimpressed.
That was a great audition. Here she is singing, “How come you don’t call me anymore”. It blows my socks off every time I listen to it.
This may be the best female singing voice I ever heard and only 17.
She started on out on X Factor too.
That was beautiful.....she has a very distinct voice and puts her heart and soul into what she sings....which is what seperates the talented from the average sing songer.
Many of the contestants have yet to find “their own voice” and though sound fine they are simply another singer. The idea is to find the unique among them..who clearly has that distinction which seperates them from the herd.
Younger singers generally do not have life experiences to draw from...so their songs are simply singing.
Your second link proves my point. She has a very distinct voice and style....both your links have singers who have “found their own voice”.
Try this....Here she is singing, How come you dont call me anymore. (Posted by free? forgot the rest of his post name!)
She sings from her soul....
Very fresh faced kid with a big soulful voice. I loved her!
There was a team that did a comparison between Evancho and this gal....so you’re correct...the findings were she out did Jackie Evancho, and this without professional training as Evancho had.
