The Mexican defender made a mental error; just as Robben made a mental error when he jumped over the sliding tackle over the sliding defender just before the water break. Had Robben not jumped a penalty would have been awarded for tripping and no one would have complained.
No kidding. Diving/flopping/acting appears to be an unfortunate part of every game. It also appears to annoy a team and their fans only when the other team does it....(but not when their players do it)
Robben himself admitted that he dove in the first half of the game — and he does this all the time in Europe. I actually like the Dutch — heck, I’ve even followed Queen Maxima of The Netherlands on Twitter.
But karma is a b*tch and what comes around goes around.... I hope the Dutch reach the Final and then get CRUSHED by either the Germans or Argentinians, just like in the finals of 74, 78 & 10.... If you play dirty you’ll get what’s coming to ya!
