The American sheeple spend their time thinking about the trivial , the baser instincts, the totally unreal and useless. They don’t have time to think about real problems in this country.
Yeah, kinda depends on the definition of low cost. I can’t afford the r/c stuff but IIRC the unit I was refering to is less thn $1000.
Art Newland on youtube has some excellent videos flying around his neighborhood and his club’s r/c airport. There are lots of others as well.
FWIW in the ‘60’s people complained about teen aged rocket boys like me and my friends when we flew camera equipped Estes model rockets and camera equpped balloons.
Yeah ... they should “look at the big picture” ... and excuse the pun ... :-) ...
They already blur people, license plates, and most signs. If you go nuts blurring stuff, it just calls more attention to you.
Our neighborhood was recently found by google maps. Since then, we’ve had several incidences of thefts, attempted break ins and prowlers. We’ve never had that problem before. Coincidence or a useful burglar tool.
A useful burglar tool is a car driving down the street ... :-) ...
Yeah ... the thief just hops in his car to see for himself what is really going on at that address ... LOL ...
I do not know if it works...the reviews have been mixed
So go and blur out all your competition!
Just checked my house on google Street View. Photo is about 5 years old.
I would think that would only work when the camera is supplying the illumination, not for the Mercedes in the illustration.
When google/bing/sat maps are outlawed, only outlaws will have them.
It isn’t the person using the device, it’s the device that commits the crime.
Ahhh ... you’re borrowing from the gun control debate ... :-) ...
That is an excellent idea!
Ours is tagged as September 2013. Glad I cut the grass shortly before they drove by.
Hmmm...mrs p6 just brought up something related. Anyone look at homes on the real estate websites like zillow? Often there are tons of inside pics and slideshow tours.
Planning to rob...go to zillow. You can case the place from your armchair.
Perhaps those sites should be banned as well.
Interesting. SPIKE had a short series about dropping off the grid a couple years ago. They recommended an array of LEDs spaced around the bill of a BB cap. It completely washed out the face from security camera footage; parking lot cameras up on a light pole, ATMs, and so on. Can’t recall the frequency they used, however.
Maybe infra red leds? Wish I could turn them off on my home webcam. They reflect off of everything.
Huh?
