Sometimes the police officer do employ common sense. Look up the North Arlington VA story about neighbors reporting a vicious pit bull on the loose. The responding officer realized the dog though loose was friendly, and coaxed it into his cruiser until the owner could be located (must have been wearing a collar & rabies tag).
Interesting when you think about it. A loose pit bull gets the benefit of the doubt, and all the dog killings we hear about take place inside a homeowner’s property line.
Anyway, glad to hear they saved the man’s cat. I have three, didn’t know about pet oxygen masks.
